Mt. Everest Climber and Alzheimer Awareness Advocate Alan Arnette Coming to desk chair

On Wednesday December 4th,  join the desk chair community to explore Life Lessons from Mt. Everest presented by Alan Arnette. Alan Arnette is an avid mountain climber, as well as an Alzheimer’s Advocate. He dedicates his climbs to raising awareness and research funds for Alzheimer’s research. Arnette was personally affected by the disease when his mother, Ida, was diagnosed and he became the overseer of her care until she passed away in 2009.

He holds the cause near to his heart and has become a spokesperson for Alzheimer’s research, caregiver support, education and awareness. Arnette has used his passion of mountain climbing to guide attention to this cause. He is an accomplished climber, with 36 major expeditions, including Mt. Everest, under his belt. Arnette has climbed all 58 Colorado 14ers. He is a proud contributor to National Geographic, and other global media outlets to bring awareness to his challenges faced with Alzheimer’s disease and challenges with summiting the greatest heights in the world.
