Greeley Chamber Orchestra Concert

It is always exciting to see a familiar face up on a stage. On Friday, February 1st, The Greeley Chamber Orchestra’s newest concert is featuring members of the Greeley Fire Department as well as the University of Northern Colorado’s Jean Morrell who is narrating Prokofiev’s Peter and the Wolf. Starting at 7:30 p.m., Director Dan Frantz will begin the Concert with musical works by Prokofiev, Hadyn and Beethoven.

Jean Morrell has had a heart for music ever since she began to play the flute in fifth grade. Not only is she musically gifted but she is a standout at UNC. She held the affectionate title, “Dean Jean” when she was the Dean of Students at the UNC for 26 years. She now works part-time as the Senior Adviser in UNC’s Office of Development and excitedly notes that Peter and the Wolf is “a fun way to introduce both children and adults to the individual instruments’ sounds using an interesting story.”

Join the music and the fun of seeing friendly faces perform world renowned music right here in Greeley!
