Brides and grooms throughout Northern Colorado are no doubt thrilled about the recent opening of Fort Collins’ newest hotel. Part of the Marriott Autograph Collection, The Elizabeth Hotel is decidedly upscale with design touches that pay homage to its NOCO location. Guests of The Elizabeth can enjoy locally inspired art, music and craft beer at the 164-room hotel, which is adjacent to pedestrian-only Firehouse Alley with easy access to Old Town.
The hotel’s warm and inviting design was conceived by 4240 Architecture of Denver. The interior design, by DLR Group, elevates the personality of The Elizabeth Hotel—a charismatic balance of femininity and masculinity—by evoking a light and airy ambiance paired with aged wood and metal materials that feel handcrafted and welcoming. Throughout the hotel, guests will see custom filigree, intricate metalworking on balconies, and cast plaster ceiling ornamentation. The hotel’s art collection, curated by award-winning Denver-based firm NINE dot ARTS, celebrates Fort Collins’ adventurous spirit with works by artists local to Colorado and with ties to Colorado State University.
The Elizabeth Hotel offers thoughtful amenities that will appeal to wedding parties. The hotel boasts two indoor spaces, the Walnut Ballroom, which can accommodate up to 130 guests and is divisible into two sections, and the Chestnut Room, which can accommodate a more intimate affair for up to 60 guests, as well as the second-floor outdoor terrace that overlooks Walnut Street and downtown Fort Collins. Both spaces provide a combination of contemporary and traditional décor with subdued color schemes to fit any wedding style. When not in use for private events, the hotel’s second-floor terrace doubles as a gathering place for guests to enjoy a glass of wine, warm up by a fire circle, watch the sunset or admire the beautiful views of the Rocky Mountains.
“The Elizabeth Hotel is the perfect venue for any bride looking to tie the knot in Fort Collins,” said Barbara Piagari, director of sales and marketing at The Elizabeth Hotel. “Not only are we steps away from the heart of Old Town Fort Collins, providing wedding guests with a multitude of shopping and dining options within walking distance, but, we also are home to a variety of the town’s best live music venues and restaurants.”
The three themed suites, each of which embody a different aspect of Fort Collins’ culture and heritage, will appeal to newlyweds or soon-to-be newlyweds planning bachelor and bachelorette parties. The Beer & Bike Suite is a craft beer-lover’s paradise, complete with its own beer tap that will serve up local brews, a beer fridge stocked with canned and bottled craft varieties and a private terrace and fire pit for guest use, while The Ram Suite is a haven for Colorado State University fans. Guests staying in the Music Suite can tickle the ivories on their very own baby grand piano, located in the suite’s elegant living room. Guests of the Music Suite can also channel their inner DJ with the high-tech record player and sound system.
Sunset Lounge, the hotel’s all-weather and open-air lounge, features exquisite outdoor space with unrivaled sunset views and mountain views. The Emporium Kitchen & Wine Market offers an exceptional restaurant experience highlighting locally sourced, quality ingredients, and live music can be heard in the Magic Rat bar.
Needless to say, Piagari is looking forward to hosting many wedding parties at the hotel.
“With unique event space and stunning backdrops like the lobby’s grand staircase, brides at The Elizabeth Hotel can expect a uniquely Fort Collins experience that exudes elegance and style,” she says.
