The Flying Pig 5K saw scores of participants don on their running or walking shoes to participate in the 10th annual charity event on a blue-sky Colorado morning. The certified course Pre-Qualifier for Bolder-Boulder, took runners and walkers on paths in and around Spring Canyon Park near the foothills. Festivities included a Piglet Walk for kids 10 and under, awards to winners, including the traveling Bronze Pig and live music by the Clark Street Station band. The event raised more than $17,000 to benefit the Family Support Services Program, a program under the umbrella of services provided by Foothills Gateway.
